Do our Military Men and Women fighting over seas for freedom even know what their Congress People are doing? If they don't I wonder what would happen if they let the Congress know how they feel by a Telegram. What would happen if the vote passes and all the Men and Women Just lay down their arms and come home. I know my men and women won't lay down their arms and come home. I am so sorry my men and women In Afghanistan and Iraq. I have tried so hard to change people minds so they do not vote for this bill. I have failed you. YOU go to war and risk your life for your family and me and freedom. Yet I and many others have failed you. The country you come back to will not be the same country you left. I tried and it seems today I and others have failed you. Tomorrow is the vote. Then we will know which crossroads we will take. Please forgive me for letting you down. Does anyone know which stocks I should next pick if we become the Social Divided States of America. A country divided can not stand.

While our brave men and women are out risking their lives to protest our liberties;  we are letting them down when our federal elected offials fail to defend the constitution and their liberties.......

Yes, many of them do. Even "Blue Flamers", those who burn pure, know that something is not right here. Most of them (and I'm speaking of Special Forces) keep a mission focus; to do so otherwise in a deployment could be a fatal error. The question for them isn't why are we here, but "we are here; what will we do today?" Political discussion tends to be right wing but not wholly so.

Back in The World I find many of them do not depend upon politicians and prefer to make effective personal decisions concerning finances. Most know that the goverment will let them down and work on what they can gain now.This comes from hard experience. When they do take a political stance, they make it whole heartedly. When they decide upon a course of action, they make it so.

Have faith in our Warrior Class. They have a saying: Losers go home and complain. Winners go home with the Prom Queen. It pays to be a Winner.  :-D

Fighting for freedom?I thought most are there for a paycheck. To fight for freedom there is no need to go to Iraq, you can stay right here in the US, every day there is less and less freedom.

In any case, what vote are you talking about, the healthcare vote?

         Besides money and then some kind of Honor (nationalism), there is a third major motivator to volunteer for the armed forces. Adventure. The desire to go where you normally not be able to and the license to do things you normally never get the chance to. To be an elite amongst men. To live without fear. To be alive. This is what motivates my son to be Navy EOD. You know, Bad Assery. (It drives the women wild, believe me!)

        BTW I greatly respect your opinions and your experience. I've been lurking 2 years now without playing the game and I always expect you to bring sanity to some of the debates between Fools. We should play chess sometime...
