Greetings my fellow Foxies,

Our featured stock is True Religion (NASDAQ:TRLG)

Picked by thecherrz @$23.01 for a nice +40.44% stock gain,

The Company designs, develops, manufactures, markets, distributes and sells fashion denim jeans and other apparel including denim jackets, corduroy jeans and jackets, hooded sweatshirts, skirts, shorts, shirts, sweaters and sportswear.

Which is sexy and you know it-

Basically they're being bought out for 32 beans a share so if I owned this would be a great time to take the money and run.

Only hope in this contest is another bidding war. (not likely)

Hey Harry,  I ck'ed out your Saloon. I hadn't been there in years and it's well worth a stop if anybody is in the area.

The Hotel is looking good too for being 150 yrs old.  'Cept for the ghosts...  but they say they're cool...,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.46340616,d.cGE&fp=395374540c9e9bb8&biw=1024&bih=437

Also worth a stop is the Red Dog Salloon, just 2 mi. down the road in V.C..  It was there that Janis Joplin played for the first time with Big Brother-  47 years ago tomorrow (5/13/66). Doesn't seem like it was THAT long ago...

The valuation of their jeans always seemed a bit problematic to me.

It costs around 6 TRLG shares to buy a pair of True Religions. Compare that to Berkshire Hathaway - for a single share you can buy 40,000 Fruit of the Loom undies.

Does HKTV have what it takes to challenge GNW?

It looks like they have around $450M in tangible assets, mainly cash and investments. The current market cap is $290M so that's 55% upside. But they are losing $16M per year and don't have a TV license - seems likely to hold them back from hitting TBV.

Even if HKTV climbs above $10, GNW could outrace them. The last quarterly report was solid, especially with US mortgage insurance posting a profit.

Hey Star,

Awesome Man, sounds like a cool road trip.

I saw a line in the latest annual report for LODE listing 12 hotel employees, and I was curious about that.

It's totally cool that they're trying to keep the historic part of the area relevant. Hope to frequent the Red Dog someday, we'll have some beers for sure. ( did the barkeep offer up any inside skinny on the Comstock?)

(P.S) I'll admit it-

My share count was so low after the reverse that I had to buy enough under $2 to bring me back into trip digits share count.

Hey Mega,

I don't trust HKTV for many of the same reasons-

So I would venture that your stongest opposition at this point is CIM.

Were in the final leg of the contest (only 3 mths left, so it should be interesting)
