There's No Inflation in Futurama

August 13, 2009 – Comments (5)

Anyone remember Futurama, the cartoon where a guy gets frozen and wakes up 1000 years later? Funny enough, the dollar is still actually worth something in the show, which takes place after the year 3000.

there is an episode where Fry remembers that he still had about a dollar in his bank account back in the year 2000.  When he goes to the bank in the year 3000, he discovers that he is a trillionaire.  He then uses his entire fortune on antiques from the 90's and the last unopened can of anchovies left in the world from before they went extinct.

This is very interesting research.  Does this show provide us with any indication of the accuracy fo Alstrys predictions?

Into the Wild Green Yonder last night was so good. Especially Fanny & Bender, as always "the world's most sexual robot."

"Yeah, this is her I'm making out with right now!"
