TIF confirms my belief that High End retailers will outperform low end retailers

I am waiting on a couple other confirmations one of which is GES on Friday and if I am proven correct again then I would load up on SKS department stores at that time. SKS is a seller of High End Retail and if the individual high end retailers are showing very positive signals then SKS too will benefit.

Like I said before the average Joe does not benefit from the soaring stock market because he is not in stocks to begin with. Its the wealthier Americans that benefit from a soaring stock market  and when the wealthy feel wealthier like they feel today. They will go out and spend some of that wealth.

Keep your eyes on GES for Friday Earnings.

High-end and low-end! With the rich getting richer, and the poor getting poorer (boy, I sound like one of those 19th century marxists...), it is the retailers that tailor their goods and services to those groups that will do well. Considering the number of people in the latter category, my bet is on WMT, dollar stores, and other cheap-sh!t sellers...

True story.  And the getting richer crowd will have, or be able to pay for, the sophistication not to invest in medium-end consumer discretionary companies and to hedge out of dollars.  Then the rich will pay 0% tax on the “capital gains” --- couch work at best with little value added, and at worst it is playboy gains.

 What is to be done?
