Anybody else convinced this Prius brake failure issue is just a conspiracy by the auto industry to kill off the environmentally conscious, thereby enabling them to do away with fuel efficiency standards?
Toyota is just becomming the GM of the 1980s.
Not necessarily a conspiracy, but more of the nature of, umm, dog piling?
Once an entity has something huge (bad) brought into the spotlight, ANY thing else that can be perceived as bad will be brought into that same spotlight. This is the law of Poop In Fan.
I do think they've known about this for some time, but it was a bean counter thing not to report it.
This is a joke, right?
Is it a coincidence that the Administration takes a huge ownership stake in GM and then starts to make life difficult for the foreign owned market leader?
Wow, that's taking it to a new level...and I like it.
The Government-GM link has been on my mind since this issue began. I certainly don't think that the Toyota recall is unjustified...but deep down I can't see the government outing GM to this level.
The truth of mass production is that the more you produce, the lesser your quality is going to be. Toyota being the top car company for sales in the world will naturally slide in overall quality. But I'd still buy a Toyota over a GM any day.
Prius brake failure?experienced it man. The head gasket was also affected so aside from buying new breaks, i was forced to buy a head gasket set also.darn it,
