So I've been trying to promote my new blog (www.dumbmoney.tumblr.com) as widely as possible, including on this site called "Stocktwits.com", which, I am sure, the Fool.com crew would consider a competitor. (I feel so disloyal!) I would say that it's better in the sense that it's more active. If I post my link there I get tons more hits (all hail Google Analytics) than I do when post something here. But here's the problem: IT'S ABSOF@CKING CRAWLING WITH THE LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR OF TRADERS. I don't get these guys. There's like ten that are really good, that seem to know something, etc. (And even they don't give you a link to their returns, but tell you they've been full-time traders, etc.)
But for the rest, it's like, "I think Apple is going to go up tomorrow." "Apple's going down to $580 tomorrow." Are you f@cking kidding me? Totally boring. Totally pointless. Totally..., just, ....ugh! I post this long analysis of Altria and some guy seriously, seriously - seriously, emails me to ask me if I think it's going to dip before the earnings report. What the hey do I know? What the hey do I care? Did you read the post? That's not the point.
Just a reminder, for all the flaws here, for all the times when CAPS does not work right, for all the nonsense, at least people here care about companies, about theses, about the long term.
