We did this because SourceForge is in the business of software development  and distribution and not in the business of providing data on  open-source software development and use.  As such Ohloh was no longer part of that core mission…"

Back to reality...See  [Update1] Geeknet Divests ohloh (for $1.4M after paying $2.6M , in addition to associated operating, administrative, R&D from 5/2009 - 9/2010 (geek math)). "The retail division, ThinkGeek, is a very specialty retail business. Many of the items are specific to ThinkGeek and in fact acme like the iPhone keyboard recently released were designed by them. I don't see Amazon able to compete in this space effectively unless they were to acquire. Amazon's specialty is in logistics and user experience on their site not sourcing and design.

I know there are a lot of 'Geeks' that would dump Facebook in a heart beat if given a viable alternative.

The conference call sounded like what occurs at a wake with extended family where everyone is uncomfortable with everyone present and where a series of speeches are handed for the first time to the speaker where english is their second language and the CFO and CEO cannot agree on their numbers and provide superior evidence of that on a worldwide conference call...and right out of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
