The headline is Mish's and I'm the Deb Wot he mentions in the story.

We started discussing it because I thought with the "aging population" you would find the percentage of seniors increasing overall within the population but that wasn't true for the US.  It was true for Canada, so Canada has been adjusting to an increasing aging population and reducing debt whereas the US has had a slightly declining percent of population over 65 and debt has been increasing.

I wrote about it on my blog a couple weeks ago.

Mish looks at different things about it, but this aging population thing is going to change our understanding of what we think we know and I think in particular it will change what is generally believed about the markets.

Never bet against the long-term prospects of the US stock market. Bet against the theory of relativity instead :)
