The companies I'm currently holding who do business mostly in the US are Intuit, Walgreens, and Verizon, and a small regional bank in Kentucky, with a wonderful name - Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company!  They're also a great little bank, who didn't take any TARP funds.

it seems every other day 1-3 usa banks go bust and shut down.  I'd stick  with the big boy banks or even canadian banks than the smaller banks
