Using Yesterday's News to Warn About Tomorrow
Just came across this headline from CNBC:
"Growth to Halt in Second Half: Roubini"
These "beware the second-half slowdown" headlines are all over the place ...
... which was fine three months ago. Maybe these people don't own calendars, but, folks, we're almost halfway through the second half. Stimulus spending peaked in April. Growth has slowed since then. We're aware.
My guess is these people will be warning of the second-half slowdown well into 2011. Safety in numbers.
