I was amused when I read the news just a couple days ago where Sam Zell said he was viagra for business, but reading Mish today I don't think the viagra is working...  It seems the bonds for the Tribune are selling at 37c on the dollar.

He left himself so wide open...

I really had not followed anything about the specifics of what he was dealing with so I wasn't expecting to read such a dire assessment of the Tribune just a couple days later...

Off topic here, reading this about the Olympics made me sad, so much sad truth in the comments, and so much sad truth in the article.  I forget which Olympics it was that there was mass murder of athletes.  Olympics can be both profitable and can harness the local people with a tax burden for years.  They are so expensive to host, and ultimately I think it costs the local people far more than they gain.  They pay for it and business makes run away profits.

Vancouver hosted Expo 86 and imho, that event was the catalyst that lead to Vancouver becoming the most expensive city in Canada, and it has remained so.  Massive wealthy immigration has simply meant that generation X saw a lifestyle reduction that put profession people competing for the same lifestyle than the high school dropouts of my parent's generation.  High school dropouts of my parent's generation got jobs and made enough to support their family, and many even bought homes.  I know so many under 45 that just say they will never own a home and still have student loans to pay back.

I think you may get a kick out of this.  A video of Chicago Tribune employees ripping on Sam Zell over the possible renaming Wrigley Field.  It was a contest sponsored by the rival Chicago Sun-Times.  Wrigley and the Cubs are owned by the Tribune Company, but due to some rules Zell has to sell them.

"He must have purchased those fake Viagras online." Why you think that all viagra which you buy online is fake?
