Thank you chk999, he is aware of on-the-job safety in real life and in blogs :).

I mostly wanted MF to realize that he wasn't a robot or a spammer, but a real person who is tired of savings accounts which grow in nano increments.

I took the liberty of checking out your picks and the one that interested me the most was DAKT.

Thanks for reminding me as I think this will be a good pick going forward.

I install signs for a living and we use Daktronics exclusively, Reason being best of breed, and with a message board you should'nt need to service it for 5-10 yrs. There are alot of fly by night companies that won't be around to give parts and technical support after you've purchased the board.

That being said the sign industry is highly dependent on the economy as a whole.When things are good buisness is booming, but one of the first things people cut back on is advertising while tightening belts. Also the first thing they go back to, so I use that as a market indicator (things are good right now btw.)

Thanks. DAKT is, I believe, a good company to get behind. They are absolutely solid (and have kept innovating in their space). Like many companies, they are tied into the health of the overalll economy, but outside of pure advertising, they do well in the sports stadium and airport signage areas.

 I'm looking forward to all the interaction which may be had here.
