I had planned on spending part of my check to buy a new fridge to replace my old clunker and then save the rest, but ironically my wife's package that she received when she was laid off by a subprime mortgage company which was bought by a hedge fund (and later ceased to exist HAHAHA) somehow put us over the earnings limit so instead we got nothing.

It's funny how people who live in ultra-expensive parts of the country get taxed at the same rate and have the same earnings threshold for the checks as those who are in the Midwest and South, even though their dollars stretch ten times farther than mine do.

Had enough of my grumbling yet ;)?

Hey, you could always move to the midwest and collect subsidies. Those ones for not planting are especially nice. In the interests of saving another American way of life -- slacking, I hereby volunteer to collect subsidies for not working at my job.

Now, if only I could deliver votes to all those pandering congressmen.
