August 26, 2010 – Comments (3)

Weekly jobless claims fall 31,000 to 473,000

FALL?

This is about half a million people applying for the First Time........

We have been around this number or above for the past TWO years.......

NEVER before in American History have we lost this many jobs in such a short period of time.....

and the number doesn't include all of the independent contractors who are not working.......

NO JOBS......NO INCOME.....NO HOUSING.....NO ECONOMY......AS WE KNEW IT.......

Think of jobs as the blood of our Industrial Economy.....

Jobs are what drives income.....income drives spending.....spending drives the economy.....

Without jobs.....our economy, as we know it is over.......sales crash.....evidenced best by housing......income tax receipts evaporate......evidenced by nearly every state in the nation facing a crisis.........and businesses shut down.....evidenced by the rapidly riding bankruptcy rates and vacancy rates.......

Right now, jobs are the only metrix we whould be analayzing.....everything else is simply a distraction as we try to figure out who is responsible for the $30 trillion of borrowing America did over the past ten years....

As important as many jobs are lost is how many are created.

Let's see.....

Schools are laying off.....

Hospitals are laying off.....

Cities are laying off.....

Counties are laying off.....

States are laying off.....

Businesses are shutting down and laying off.....

New Home Construction is shutting down and laying off.....

Retail is collapsing and laying off......

Restaurants are laying off.......

It appears the segments that employ large amounts of people really are not hiring......

Unless of course we go to war......then hiring will pick up rapidly.....just in different industries.......
