Welcome... to Fantasy Island!

April 15, 2010 – Comments (4) | RELATED TICKERS: ANF

OK, admittedly, I think a lot of stuff going on in our economy these days (including the continued Bizarro rally) sounds like Fantasy Island nonsense, but this post is about something a bit more specific but still pretty fantastical. Abercrombie & Fitch is going to pay CEO Mike Jeffries $4 million to limit his personal use of the corporate plane. Unreal.

I read that yesterday too... his expenses for 2005-2009 did not even reach $4M.  So why pay him that much to NOT use it.

What do I have to do to become a CEO and live in this bizarre world.

Luckily for the CEO and board of directors, insiders own a whopping 1% of outstanding shares so their jobs are safe despite their increasingly newsworthy theft from shareholders...

Also - You may want to wait to submit your blogs at least ten posts after the last referencing Flomax in the title. Just a friendly suggestion.

Bizarre, bizarre world indeed, simplemts

Oh, I'm not wondering why you'd do that... I'm seriously wondering why so many people apparently like this stock despite a litany of reasons not to. Definitely Bizarro World stuff.

Increasingly newsworthy indeed. Sheesh. And yeah I have long wished there wasn't something called Flomax on the market! I did a double take when I first glanced at TMFBane's earlier blog post title, haha.
