We are losing half a million jobs per week.  Tax receipts are evaporating.  Our businesses are going bankrupt and shutting down.  Millions of homes getting foreclosed.  Cities, Counties, and States are running out of money.  Much of our youth are essentially idle with little chance of productive employment.  Job opportunities for the rest are scarce.  And government doesn't even have close to the necessary funds to pay the citizens the entitlement obligations it owes them.

Our bankrupt government is bailing out our bankrupt banks and the private economy is imploding due to credit being cut off.  How long do you think the citizens are going to sit back and watch their nation implode before getting restless.

Our country is being outsourced and the citizens can't even see it.

Clearly something needs to be done soon because this recession is over nonsense is wearing thin.........maybe a good distraction for the populous is what is on the menu.

Tensions are heating up in Venezuela, Iran and Lebanon.........

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan this week warned Lebanese leaders that Israel may be planning an attack on its northern neighbor, Lebanese sources told the London-based Arabic language daily A-Sharq al-Awsat on Thursday.

At a meeting in Ankara with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri and President Michel Suleiman on Monday, Erdogan declared that Israel was endangering world peace by using exaggerated force against the Palestinians, breaching Lebanon's air space and waters and for not revealing the details of its nuclear program.

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Regional Medical Center announced this afternoon it will cut up to 112 employees as part of an organizational restructuring plan.

The layoffs, which would represent about 5 percent of a workforce of 2,300 employees, will span the entire SRMC organization and reduce costs by more than $7.5 million, according to a statement the hospital released just before noon today.

The organizational restructuring plan was implemented as a result of fewer patients using the hospital, decreased revenue and increased expenses, the statement said.

Thank goodness the recovery is underway.....pretty soon there may be no recovery rooms left.

Macon Mayor Robert Reichert says 31 city employees will be laid off Friday to save the city money.

Jerrold Reeves, 42, says he did not expect to be laid off from his position as a service worker at Parks and Recreation.

"I didn't think it would be me," said Reeves.

Reichert says laying off the 31 city employees along with the decision to cut 36 other vacant positions will save the city $900,000 in this year's budget and $2.6 million in future years.

MOST CITIES, COUNTIES, AND STATES ARE SHRINKING AND CLOSING OPEN POSITIONS.  SAME WITH MANY COMPANIES....

ASK YOURSELF.....ARE MANY REALLY HIRING THESE DAYS WITH SO MANY FIRING?
