What Do Fools Think of Vectorvest?

February 19, 2009 – Comments (4)

I forget how I stumbled onto their website a few months ago, but I did a free trial of their stock analyzing thing online and found it interesting enough to give their software a whirl, until I discovered the price.  I don't remember what it was, but I thought it was in the neighbourhood of a few hundred dollars and month and figured it was too rich for my blood.

I occasionally get ad e-mails from them, including today, claiming returns of 87% in 2008.  Frankly, I found their graph a little lacking, but perhaps they're vague for a reason.

Anyway, I was curious if anyone here uses (or has used) their services and if so, what they thought about them.

Thanks in advance.

And for no real reason other than to entertain myself, here's Motörhead live from 2004.

I used to tinker with it when they used to give you 5 free peeks a day (7, 8 years ago?) but after some extensive tracking I didn't see any correlation between their ranking and return over any timeframe.

On the other hand, if I could buy stock in Lemmy Kilmeister I'd sell everything I have and load up.

I can't add too much other than the fact that I have seen some Fools comment on its usefulness. The most one that I can think of recently is binve.

For what it's worth, I recently signed up for their $9.95 trial membership.   I decided it wasn't for me and canceled.   Then I found out that they charge you $42.00 to get out--after the $9.95.   They claim this is in the fine print on their signup website.   Beware of Vectorvest.   SCAM!
