I'll be heading back to the Black Fox mine very shortly for another visit. When I visited last summer, the rapid pace of underground development coupled with exciting new discoveries at Contact and 147 led me to anticipate a major turnaround in the making. As we now know all too well, that turnaround was to encounter some substantial hiccups along the way, and in the midst of severe weakness across the sector the market has punished Brigus for the delay.
But for those who have stuck around and observed the more recent indications of substantial progress in the underground operation, as well as the progressing development of those new resource areas, this battered stock has begun to look promising once again. I am eager to meet the new mine manager and discuss the recent changes to the underground operation, and to gauge their progress on the opening of additional production stopes. I am also eager to speak with VP for Exploration Howard Bird about the potential for further upside at Contact and 147, and to glean detailas on the plan for progressing these areas into fast-tracked production.
I know what I'll be looking for, and the questions I'll be looking to have answered, but I wanted to give you all a chance to let me know what it is you would like me to find out for you. If you have specific questions you would like answered, please pass them along, and I will do my best to get answers for you.
