High fixed costs.

High Wages.

Expensive Health Insurance.

Expensive Property Taxes

Mediocre Education System even with MASSIVE Expenses

Lots of Regulation

A Massive Government Deficit

A Highly Indebted Population

HOWEVER:

If you are unemployed...you can get free money for 3 years...zero you you are a self employed entreprenuer.  If you are a doctor, you can get relatively massive Medicaid payments even though the government paying you is running an absolutely massive deficit.  If you are a banker, you can lose as much as you want and know the government will give you as much free money as you need.  America is also a great place to be a politician because you can slash everyone's wage but give yourself a raise even though there is no money to pay you.

 

When a nation is morally bankrupt.....anything is posslble until morality returns.

Keep watching the ticker.....as the sheep get fleeced.

I was in the no gov't paycheck while also no job club because Virginia doesn't let you get it if you quit unless you felt threatened at work. Now I am just in the no gov't paycheck while underemployed club.  If I had had 70% of my income for the last 2 years, I'd be so so much better off.
