What Happened to the "Favorites" Tab Options?

The other day, I noticed that one of my favorite CAPS tools had been altered.   You see ... the "Favorites" tab is my favorite tab.  I use it several times a day on average.  I'm not sure if it's a TMF error or part of a redesign, but for whatever reason, it's been altered.  Now, despite being logged on, I get the view of the "Favorites" tab from the perspective of another user.  The difference is that another user will see icons of all your "Favorites", whereas, you used to get a spreadsheet-like menu that you could sort in various ways.  You also had the option to see who had added you as a favorite.

So what happened?  I can still access the old "spreadsheet-like menu", except nothing on it seems to work any more, no matter which browser I use (Firefox or IE).  I can't sort by date now, which is sorta annoying, but I used to always see what my favorite CAPS members had recently red thumbed or green thumbed.

In any case, I'm just curious as to what is up.  Is it an error?  Is it a work-in-progress?  Is it a redesign?

I appreciate all the work the TMF staff does to make CAPS great so I can't complain too much, but I would at least like to voice my desire to have my more workable menu back. (Plus, I kinda liked seeing who had added me.)

In the meantime, as you note, you can still access the Favorites table.  Scroll down on your Favorites tab and click on the Manage Favorites link.  This will take you to the "spreadsheet-like" menu version of your favorites activity.  But, as you notice, you can't sort on this table.

Again, many apologies, we'll fix this asap.

I particularly miss the groupies link.  I view adding someone as the highest compliment that I can pay them.  I take it that way as well.  It sorta defeats the purpose if they don't even know I added them!

I notice that The Fool has been playing with the layouts and menus for a few days now...usually about 1 AM (which is when I sit down for some serious reading.)  They've always delivered a good system, and I'm pretty confident it'll get sorted out.

OTOH, I use the favorites tab about 5-7 times a day to check on new postings...man, I miss that.

I agree Mary. One of the things that has kept my confidence up is when I see that All Stars or even people in the top 10 have added me as a favorite.  Its especially flattering because I know that a majority of CAPS players dont add anyone who isnt an All Star.  I need groupies to pad my ego dagnabbit!

You are and have been a favorite of mine for a long time.  The fact that you did not scrap your identity, but have brought it so far up from a negative point total is an inspiration.

When I put you on my favorites list though, it was because you always had good/great advice and it was always given kindly and generously.

We could absolutely use your smarts and experience to generate a higher return for readers.

We are basically asking you to pick up to 5 stocks at time, under the normal CAPS rules and scoring system.  Our goal is to find a solid group of 40 members who have proven themselves already, to be our regular contributing stock pickers.
