What Is Money?

What is money?  It is supposed to be a deritivitive of production that allows one to exchange it for anothers production, whether it be a good or service.

What has money become?  It seems just something someone has if they have access to credit or know someone who has access to credit.  As the productive private sector got cut off from credit, it was clear that production would collapse.

Who as access to money today?

Well, it is something bankers can borrow as much as they want to give themselves billions in bonues without producing a thing and controlling the production of productive people.

It is something politicians can borrow as much as they want to pay themselve wonderful salaries to live a lavish lifestyle controlling the production of productive people.

It is something now that underfunded pension plans can borrow from THEMSELVES to pay non productive retirees large payments while current productive workers contribute their production into an insolvent plan.

It is something that non productive money losing public companies can borrow from our insolvent pension plans.

It is something that government can give hundreds of billions to non productive retired people in the form of social security so they and obtain the production of productive people.

It is something the government can give billions to non productive food stamp recipients so they can control the production of productive people.

It is something government can give to non productive welfare recipients so they can control the production of the productive.

It is something that government can give to millions of non productive unemployed so they can control production even though they themselves don't produce a thing.

You wonder when the people who are actually producing are going to stand up and say....hey, where is my free money.....I am done producing as fewer and fewer are producing more and more for a growing non productive people.

Welcome to the Digital Age....when an economy dependent on credit gets cut off and production comes to a grinding halt!

Althought I do think that our country is too focused on service and not production, I dont understand why you feel that bankers do nothing. The way I see bankers politicians and economists is the way I see referees. They dont add anything to the game but they make sure that everything flows smoothly.  You need banks to move money around so businesses can start, create real WEALTH (not just money) and make society better/more advanced. We need credit to buy things now that we know we can afford later, but without loans a lot of people would never make it to college and we would be far from where we are today.

As for retirement, think about people without currency. Somebody could build a house, tractor, etc.  Then when they want to retire, they could have their son do all of the farming in reparations for building the house.  Im not sure why retiring is so bad to you (although I want to work forever, and I dont think hairdressers should be retiring at age 50)

Althouh I do agree that companies that do nothing but trade derivatives dont add much, though i think daytrading firms add liquidity which is good

Its the people that abuse the system that screw it up, not the system itself
