What is Mr. Market serving for dinner?

Shall we feast at the smorgasboard of great stocks for sale? Or should we hide all our money under our mattresses?

The correct answer lies somewhere in the middle, I would suspect. I have not been in much of a buying or selling mood lately. Frankly, some stocks in my portfolio are laying in a ditch somewhere breathing heavily after having the snot beaten out of them.

So given a bloodied portfolio and a down-trodden market, what's the play here? Can we go lower? I think that we can, and think that things will probably get a lot worse before they get a lot better. Unfortunately, I think the market will teeter and then eventually capitulate before ultimately rebounding.

I don't mean to be gloomy, but here is what I think the Foolish bottom line is: Keep a little cash under your mattress for what promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime buying opportunity.

Good luck.

PM.  A buy under 50.  No need to look at any other stock, IMO.
