What stage are we in for a BULL market?

April 03, 2013 – Comments (5) | RELATED TICKERS: B , UL , L

Basic rule of thumb is a bull market has three legs. The first leg, just throw darts at a chart and anything goes up (2009-2010).  2nd leg there are plenty quality picks just need to do some research (2011-2012).  Third leg, it takes a lot of digging to find those quality stocks.  Are we at that third leg?

Personally I think we have a couple more years, more because of Bernanke than the "three bull legs."

Some  who  are  more  endowed  appear  to have  5  legs.

The  rules  have changed  with  the  easy  money  policies ~  the  high speed  trading ~  the  automation ~  the front running ~ the having  the government  and  supposed  regulators  actively involved in the  rigged game.

Bulls make  money.

Bears  make  money.

Pigs  get  slaughtered.

What  we  are seeing  is  trickery  and  buffoonery  at its  best  or  worst.

Anyone  remember  the  naked gun movie  where Frank  Drisko  gets  behind  the plate  and  starts calling  all  the  pitches  strikes  ?  than  near  the  end of  the game  he  calls them all balls  and  than  interfers  with throwing additional  balls  into the game  and calling  runners  safe  ?  bumping into  the  other  officials  who  tells  him  even  the  guy in  the score  board  saw he  was  out  and  the game is  over.

Throw  out  the play book ~  throw  out  the rules  ~  forget what  you  think you know ~  hold  onto  your  butts ~  for  the ride  will get  extremely  bumpy  when  the  you know  what  hits  the  fan.

Oh  sure  every  one  loves  a  happy  ending,  but  the forecast  prediction  is  pain.

Imagine  if  suddenly  all  the  digital  information gets altered  or  say  wiped  out by a  well planned  and  executed  action.

Say some  hidden  code  lays  dormant and  suddenly uses the  infrastructure  to  lay  siege  upon  the  power  grids ~  upon  the  nuclear  power  plants  ~  upon the  refineries  and  oil  producers ~  upon the first responders  and  defenders.

What  happens if by chance  what  had  been predicted starts to take fold,  say  suddenly  tommorrow  the  rapture  takes fold.

Planes  fall  out  of  the skies,  people  are  suddenly  missing.

God I'm  starting to sound  like the old  Alstry...

I think we are due for a 5-10% correction, then more bull market....but I think we only have about a year left, and then a bear market

Over the long term, I dont know how anybody can be bearish.  But I think the next few years will be ugly
