What to do about vstov holdings

October 05, 2010 – Comments (4) | RELATED TICKERS: VSTOV.DL

Hmmm...what are you guys going to do?  I don't know at what point it lost that much %, I didn't see it on the charts. Once I can trade it, I think I might hold it until it gets added to an exchange, but I can't decide if I want to do that or just bail.  Any insight from anybody who knows more about the company?

Why did you buy in the first place? Why you bought might tell you what to do.  For example, if you bought because you thought it was worth 40% more than you paid, you should hold.

I bought it because most companies I've witnessed emerge from bankruptcy explode throughout the year. This one was running, I was up 7% in a week on it but now I'm down 33%. This was more of a momentum play which is hard to gauge when the volume is so low because of the confusion. What are you doing with it? If you don't own it in real life, what are you doing with it on caps?

I don't own it in real life.  I intend to let it play out in the medium term in CAPS.  I'm sorry I have no useful advice on how to play momentum.  I only buy things in real life if I think there's cause for a stock to appreciate at least 25 to 50 percent due to undervaluation of some sort.

Makes sense. I'd like to be more like that at some point but I have a shorter timeframe as. I might need to liquidate a lot of my portfolio to put a down payment on a house next year, so I don't have enough time to let value work itself out. I've been doing great with momentum up until this little bump in the road
