January 29, 2010 – Comments (3) | RELATED TICKERS: YTEC

Any holders of Yucheng Technologies out there? Over 80% of the float traded today and the stock dropped about 45%. The conference call was disappointing, but this is looking very oversold with more than half of the market cap backed up by cash. Any thoughts?

Have followed this for a while and read the earnings report, of course.  Earnings were poor PRE-China bank tightening.  Statement says that tightening will affect bank purchases of YTEC product going forward.  That makes sense.  It might be oversold and see a little bounceback but I'm not personally expecting major pop surprises from YTEC in the near future. Will keep it on my watchlist for possible upward due to bank policy changes in China at a later time.

This could be the first of many dramatic results from the revisions in the Chinese banking sector.

YTEC is the numner 1 bank IT solutions provider in China. China banks is slowing home loan but they have huge demands regarding IT integration and upgrades. It is a good sign for China banks to see potentual risks before disaster- China banks are getting mature. I see great entry opportunity for YTEC.
