Corporate CEO's lying. Millions in bonuses going to executives destroying companies. Government officials lying. The Media lying. Pretty soon people catch on and trust starts breaking down. Heck, if they can screw the public and not have any consquences....why should I have to do my part.
As costs go up an salaries and incomes remain stagnant....pretty soon people have to make a decision between making house payments and buying food or paying taxes...........
WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service is trying to collect billions of dollars in late taxes from nearly half a million federal employees.
Documents obtained by WTOP radio through the Freedom of Information Act show the federal employees and retirees did not pay more than $3.5 billion in taxes owed last year.
The agency with the most delinquent employees was the U.S. Postal Service. Nearly 4.2 percent of its 747,000 workers are delinquent.
The IRS would not provide comparable data for the general population.
The Executive Office of the President, which includes the White House, has 58 employees who did not pay more than $319,000. More than 1,000 Capitol Hill workers are on the list.

Our county is facing one of its most serious crisis in its history. Never before has our government owed its citizens so much. When its citizens who work for the government can't even afford to pay taxes.....how do you think government can fulfill its obligations?
Now America's business are broke....our auto companies are begging for billions. Same with our banks and insurance companies.....our airlines are no different and the song goes on and on until now our local and state governments are getting squeezed like never before.
If few are paying taxes.....how do we maintain our current form of government?????? Why is this relevant for an investing forum....isn't caps part of capitalism.
