With all the fuss about Health Care. Look. Time to short Monsanto?

http://mobile.salon.com/news/feature/2000/01/12/food/index1.html

The chilling implication revealed in this memo is that all other GM crops have undergone less stringent testing. In fact, testing is handled not by the agency but through voluntary consultations between the companies and the FDA with company scientists running the tests.

Previously undisclosed papers such as these tell the story of how the FDA flouted its own laws and ignored the advice and warnings of its own scientists in the process of pushing through a food technology that seemed to have immediate benefit only for the producers -- namely agrochemical companies including Monsanto, DuPont and Novartis.

The ramifications stretch far beyond the U.S. borders. Together, these documents with the resulting FDA policy confirm the very fears expressed last November by WTO protesters in Seattle: that globalization will lead governments to speed up industry growth at the expense of thorough public health precautions. This is precisely what has happened with GM foods.

AND.............. now the government will be in charge of your health-care you silly liberals and Move On. Now what are you going to demand moveon.org. More government control over government? George Soros is so happy now.

It still boggles my mind the women who fought for the right to have abortions to have a say what to do with their own body just gave up that right to have the government tell them what to do with their bodies. Next thing you know it will be forced abortions for women like they did in China to lesson the population. 100 million girl babies killed how many total. 200 million a 1/4 billion or more?

I didnt see it, but i understand there was a documentary nominated for an Academy Award this year that takes a long hard unfavorable look at Monsanto.  I am not sure of the name but i think the word "Food' was in the title.

I don't think that is what happened.  More accurate might be "...do with their own body just HAD THAT RIGHT TAKEN FROM THEM..."

Yeah, much more accurate.
