A new Idea has come to pass. A black swan moment in time. Now is the time for all good men to stand up and follow Iceland. Yes. Let freedom ring.

Iceland Declares Independence from International Banks

Time for WAR.This is one I can fight in. I will do it with love. Love for my fellow man. This is the end of the article.

The lesson here is instructive across the pond, but it is a chilling one.  If the U.S. — or any sovereign for that matter — attempts to restructure their debts, or to force private investors to take a haircut on their own foolish gambles, these international institutions have promised the equivalent of economic war in response.  However, the alternative is for representative governments to sacrifice their independence to a cadre of faceless bankers who share no allegiance to any nation.

It is the conflict that has already defined the beginning of the 21st Century.  The question is whether free peoples will choose to remain free, as Iceland has, or to submit.

That is until we got the FED.  Just substitute the word KING for FED.

From last year. How much closer we are to it. Now for Soros verses Paul Volcker

and Soros is now drawing up Brent Wood 3. And you wonder if gold and silver is in a bubble. Oh Heck no. In a past blog you heard Rothschild say bond oil and gold.  http://www.moneynews.com/Headline/Soros-Warns-Moral-Hazard/2011/04/11/id/392429?s=al&promo_code=C105-1

So with this pull back invest in oil silver and gold.I also hope that all people around the world will find freedom from the IMF. I also hope we can become a REPUBLIC again instead of a super power.

neither will oil  or silver....    unless you need the silver to stab  were-wolves or vampires...

If you use the presence of McD's in a country to determine a basis of value, you're dumber than I thought.  Has it ever occured to you that the Icelanders did not want a McD's.  I guess not since your too busy angrily attacking everyone.  The onyl impotent man I know of is you lordz, yelling loudly trying to make others feel little.  keep trying little man.

+1 for Iceland.  They did the right thing and continue to do so, both for not havign a McD's ( if that is indeed true) and for not getting pushed into a dodgy agreement with international banks.  USA I hope yor taking notes.....

lordz...you can just stick it chump!  I'd rather have Alstry around than you any time

If you knew how messed up what Ice-land did prior to messing up, you wouldn't be so giddy about them.  Ice-land is irrelevant, they have been bent over and  handled by anyone and everyone who wanted to tap them,  did Ice-land really declare independance ? or we're they just dumped out of the rich mans car with a little bus-fare or cab money to home,  shamed about what they did and what happened ?

Either way it doesn't matter :)

The long walk of shame.  in an economic state.

Much easier to deal with Alstry when you don't have to read what he types :)

 LOL

I hope no one takes any of what I say too seriously

I didn't realize that Iceland didn't bail out their banks. I didn't realize that it was private banks that failed. I'm glad they aren't bowing to pressure to pay back those who lost their investments. If they didn't have insurance, don't cry to a government (taxpayers). Investments have risks. They just experienced that.

Go Iceland!

rfarmir,

The reason the Icelandic Central bank could not bail out its private banks was not due to a lack of will, but a lack of ability. In fact, they had promised to do so back in 2001 (which of course, led all players to believe they would.)  The problem was that most of the banking obligations were in foreign currency which limited the central bank's options.

But it's also not true to say that they weren't bailed out at all.  There were some exchange swaps that allowed the Central Bank of Iceland to bail out parties, but it was nowhere near the size of the losses.

Iceland's government also stepped in and foolishly prevented some of the necessary restructuring.

I am........... fit to be tied. I am................... pissed. I don't like the way the world is going. I don't like people getting killed. I don't like the fact the we now have bombs that kill the people and leave the buildings standing. We owe the FED nothing. Not one red cent. I can't even afford the gas to be able to camp on the beach like last year. So everyone can bite me. Do I take what you say seriously? I am learning not to. As for Tagged. Bite me. If you leave you cost me money in pets. The only place I have money and that is an illusion. I can't play the fish game because my computer is to slow. Deal with it and stay. Humph..................... ;-P giggling

There is a tie in with Soros and comments that were made on Oct. 26, 2009.  That day was a harbinger of all that is going to unravel this year.  You  are so right about about tieing Soros to all that is happening.  He thinks HE is the king
