The Blog world is starting to rumble.....is Sarah Palin really the mother of five children or the mother of four and grandmother to one?????

From the March 6th, Anchorage Daily News......

JUNEAU -- Gov. Sarah Palin shocked and awed just about everybody around the Capitol on Wednesday when she announced she's expecting her fifth child.

"I thought it was becoming obvious," Gov. Sarah Palin said. "You know, clothes getting snugger and snugger."

The governor, who recently turned 44, told a handful of reporters as she was leaving work to expect a new member of the first family, then headed to a reception at the Baranof Hotel to feast on king crab.

Palin said she's already about seven months along, with the baby due to arrive in mid-May.

That the pregnancy is so advanced astonished all who heard the news. The governor, a runner who's always been trim, simply doesn't look pregnant.

Even close members of her staff said they only learned this week their boss was expecting.

"I thought it was becoming obvious," Palin said. "You know, clothes getting snugger and snugger."

But people just couldn't believe the news.

Palin said she decided to reveal the pregnancy after she felt the signs were giving her away, like doing less running this winter and being "ravenously hungry."

She's known as a fashion plate, but said she hasn't been dressing differently to cover her barely perceptible bulge.

A barely perceptible bulge and seven months pregnant????  A photo from the March 9th Anchorage Daily News....does this woman look seven months pregnant with her fifth child.....if she really is.......wow!!!!

The key now will be to check her daughter Bristol's school attendance records to see if she attended classes in the few months before the pregnancy.  If so and there was no interruption.....then this is just blog BS and the issue should be put to rest.

If there was an interruption.....Romney or Lieberman?????

Discounting the above, the Palin nomination makes no sense whatsoever....it is as if McCain intentionally wants to lose.

First, before the selecting Palin, McCain had little or no material contact.  Who nominates someone as their VP candidate with little personal contact prior?????

Second, McCain defined, really defined, his campaign as being the one with experience.  For one who is over 70 years old that views experience in the Presidency as key during these turbulent times.....it makes absolutely no sense to pick someone with practically no experience.

Third, Palin is under scrutiny for abusing power by having her ex brother in law fired as a state trooper during a custody battle with her husband's sister.

No contact and no experience.....no chance McCain chose Palin thinking he could win.  Now the question is why she was chosen?

al, c'mon man, she was chosen because of the stupid cougars who will vote for a woman at any cost, even if said woman would take their sons and send them to their deaths in far-off lands for rich people in texas, take away their rights with their doctor, and continue to add to pollution and global warming, and oh yeah also will tax that voter more while giving more tax cuts to her boss.

al, did you hear ferraro recently?  that cougar needs to be muzzled and put to bed.  But she is just like the stupid women out there that think hillary was jobbed and are just complete suckers for advertising, probalby the same type of woman who buys a little toy every time she's at the grocery store cuz she can't help herself.

I'm not sure that particular woman is going to get the Hillary vote unless these women can shift from pro-choice to pro-life. But there are a lot of angry Hillary women who claim they will vote for McCain just to get back at Obama.

Also, the general social conservatism of Palin isn't going to do much for getting the moderate vote. The choice actually seems a little strange to me, but it might work ok. What it does do is pick up more funding for McCain. The gun lobby and pro-life movement is kicking in the money now.

I doubt what you are suggesting is true. If it is and since it does go to character the Dems or the Enquirer will send someone sniffing around and the truth will come out. One would expect the Anchorage daily News to have a follow up from the hospital.  Until then it is rumormongering and I for one am not going there especially about her kids. Everything I've posted about the policys she has promoted is on line at the Alaska Gov website.

I agree about rumormongering in general....especially about private affairs.

But a key aspect of her nomination is her pro life stance.  To me, being pro life or pro choice is not a material campaign issue...but in Palin's case, it is becoming the issue and she is using her fifth child as evidence of her strong pro life position.

Quite frankly, it is a private affair....until the party threw it in our faces.......If true, you would almost think this nomination was intended to fail.  If not, good for her and good luck with the campaign.
