Why Alstry Failed

April 11, 2011 – Comments (7)

Why...because I couldn't convince Fools to think SYSTEMATICALLY.

Few of us do everything for ourselves anymore.  We don't grow our own food, sew our own clothes, obtain the water to drink, or much of anything else.  We have all become very specialized in a complex system.

It was that specialization that drove our prosperity and development in this economy/society we call the Industrial Age. It advanced humanity at speeds never seen before....and everything worked so long as the system worked.  If the system broke down, everything breaks down.

Examples of systematic breakdowns would be Northern Japan, The Titanic, and The World Trade Centers.  Even though individuals may have been functioning within the system, when the systems broke down, they all did.

Money, was the lubricant/energy for our system.  it is what motivated people to produce and as long as money was tied to production, the system worked great.

However, when the banks failed, instead of restructuring the system, we LEVERED UP America and bailed out the banks.  By doing so, we essentially bankrupted America....the nation in which we all function in.

Instead of asking how America could bail us out.....any of us, bankers, teachers, and politicians alike.....

We should have asked how can we bail America out........because if America fails......we will soon find out WE ALL FAIL....including Alstry.

We will be forced to learn this lesson of COLLECTIVE INTERDEPENDENCE.  There is only three ways to generate production from another that we need to survive:

1.  Love/Volunteer

2.  Trade/Money

3.  Force/Steal

When money doesn't work, the only two left are Love and Force....and it appears there is less and less Love going around these days....Just ask Jamie Dimon who got a $21 million dollar bonus on the back of a taxpayer bailout and is doing little to bail out his borrowers.

PS:  The example could easily apply to teachers, politicians and Alstry. And in the end, if enough of us are not producing, the whole system shuts down.

And a BOMB it will be as we all try to figure out how much printed money one human is worth compared to another.

When all perceive they are will be a good fight.

Then the one that can impose the greatest force wins......
