Why Higher highs?

September 07, 2012 – Comments (4) | RELATED TICKERS: WSHLY , Y

Well Kudlowites attack Obama enough saying he is anti business yet since he took office the stock market has now erased all the crash losses.  Under Bush I got hurt hard as a result of the '08-early '09 crash.  Under Obama I made a heck of a recovery.

I listened to Clinton's, Biden's and Obama's speeches.  If Clinton was running for a third term I would vote for him (sheesh he loves to talk).  Biden made the speech of his life.  Obama was meh.

But in the end, as an investor I made money under Obama and lost money under Bush.

It's a tough question, and one that's hard to divest from political views. We both know that Clinton, bush and I would argue Bush Sr were responsible for the housing crisis.

Downturn of the American workforce could be traced to NAFTA under the Reagan years.

Fiat Currency was introduced by Nixon.

And the thousand years of darkness was introduced by the worlds greatest monster...Jimmy Carter.

Harry, feel free to call me Andy.  And I agree with your comment about Bernanke.  And from a selfish point of view I would want him to continue for one more term.  Obama will probably nominate, but Romney said he wouldn't.

As for Carter he was just in over his head.  A nice guy that only won because of the Nixon backlash. But he had no business running.  Hard to hate him when he devoted his time to literally helping build homes for the poor afterwards.

But still the market has made dramatic gains since the March '09 low.  So if you asked me if I feel better (well aside from health issues) now than 4 years ago my answer would be yes. But I am sure there are many others that will say no.

Kudlow keeps trying to harp on the Reagan years for comparison (and as an aside I just have a hard time watching CNBC and MSNBC now) except he is simply ignoring the demographics.  They are so different today than then.

Thanks Andy, and I'm sorry to hear about the health issues.

Feel free to continue calling me Harry or my real name of John, just please don't call me Hairy John since I'm actually hairless and somewhat sensitive about the matter ;)

I got the thousand years of darkness line from-
