Greetings fellow Fools,

This is a post about why I continue to give All glory to The Hypnotoad. I know it may seem silly to many of you, and I fully expect a backlash of criticism. So please hear out my reasons for continued support of his Toadiness.

Let's go back all the way to october 2008, the market was crashing faster then the race to the batroom after a white castle slider eating contest, everwhere you looked on tv the talking heads were calling for the end of civilization, cats were sleeping with dogs, Caps itself was none too optimistic (I swear Alstry was damn near giddy with excitment). And the worst part was that the cubs got swept in the playoffs, oh and my portfolio took a 50% haircut on paper.

So with all those factors you could see why I was a little bit down in the dumps. Even considered giving up and saying hey, maybe this investment thing ain't for me.

Then one day I was tooling around on Caps, got done reading a thourghly depressing post by dwot. Had Kudlow on television, and I kid you not their were twelve talking heads all shouting over one another. I came across a post by The Hypnotoad.

But this was no ordinary All glory to The Hypnotaod post, this was a visual with blinking eyes and all.

So I'm looking at this little toad on an investment site of all places. Turned off the tv and just sat there and stared at the screen just thinking about what I wanted to do and accomplish. It was a form of meditation for me. A form of self introspection if you will.

After an hour or so, not sure kind of lost track of time. With my limited knowledge of investing, gained from the teachings of Graham, Buffett and the Motley Fool. I came to a conclusion-

Buy.

Started snapping up shares of  solid companies like crazy, then held my nose and started buying crappy finacials that I never would have considered before. Continued on this path until the dow was at 10,000, when the dow hit 11,000 sold all the crap, held the copanies which were still solid.

Is this sound investment procedure, probably not. But it was my plan and mine only. bottom line, it made me money and that is the goal after all.

And I have the Hypnotoad to thank for this.

So All Glory to The Hypnotoad.
