I'm kind of surprised that it's taken me this long to get myself on a Wii system, but I finally did. It's hard to predict whether I'd enjoy it a year from now as much as I do now, but so far I can't stop playing. It's nice because it's more about just having fun playing the game than it is about playing a game that has amazing graphics and is exceedingly complex. Don't get me wrong, those games are great, but the learning curve on a lot of them is enough to keep me at bay.
The only big detractor that I've seen so far is that I don't see Tecmo Bowl or Super Dodge Ball among the NES games available for download.
It'll be interesting to see if Nintendo continues to do well with the system. At least for now it looks like they've found a majorly underseved niche in the gaming world. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I'm pretty sure that the Wii system is actually profitable for Nintendo too. The stock has really (wii-ly?) reacted and has just about doubled since last year.
