I'll be back later, There's a best buy still open. I've got me some shoppin to do.

Seriously though although I think the Wii hasn't produced games anywhere near it's potential, it's allowed me to have videogames and a social life at the same time again. Now if I can only get my gf on CAPS....

Tasty -- that is the big point, playing games and having a social life. So much of gaming on other b0xen is solitary (and as someone who did some serious team gaming with Unreal Tournament, I can say that it is not nearly the same).

I got my wife on CAPS, but she isn't very active on it.

I know Reaper, I used to be big Warcraft3/Starcraft guy back in the day myself .I know a fair amount about the industry as well, I own an embarrassing amount of videogames. Never was much for FPS games line Unreal though, they all seemed to similar to me.But after being out of college, for awhile it's been hard to game, have a business and have a life. Until The wii replaced my ps2 the third one was losing out for me.

Glad I never got into WOW, I've seen MMORPGS wreck marriages and you can't tell me the couples who only play WOW together truly have a healthy relationship. Or at least I'll disagree with you vehemently :-)

my off and on gf likes stocks, but she likes facebook et al. better :-(

Ahhh video game addiction... I used to play Counter-Strike competitively, but it really didn''t do well for my grades. MTV True Life featured a documentary on a team I faced a few years ago. It put a smile on my face when I watched it. It's just unfortunate for me that I couldn't find a way to make enough money competitvely, or get promoted on TV  and fund a way to retire.

I think I'll aways be an internet junkie. You probably will be too...

As far as Nintendo's stock - I think it's of good value. It's trading on par with revenue and about 10x earnings. Unforunately, I hate trading foreign stocks and pink sheets of foreign stocks. It can be a pain in the ass if it goes wrong... You will discover that quickly if you ever trade shares on the ASX.

That is an interesting way to spend your time abit:) Video games to exercise and feed bags, what's next?

I have never been a gamer and this is the only place I blog. I didn't even have an email until after 2000. I can see how blogging and video ames can be addicting though.

What is WOW and MMORPGS?

Anoma- good take on nintendo and the ASX. I try to stay away from the pinks.

LordZ,

I try to buy things I understand. Dry bulk sector is "hot" due to the commodity market and DRYS sucess. GS and Vinik Asset Management owned DRYS and likely ran it up. DRYS is a two employee garbage stock, "smart" money was short, they got punished.

Most Americans do not realize, that most of the world does not operate under the same ethics. To rob stupid foreigners is okay in many coutries. It is just business to take advantage of the stupid. As long as "new"/stupid money is buying this theme, they will keep lising them here in the US. Look how many "drybulk" stocks have been listed in the last three years.

SB has 4 employees, all Greek, no P/E, a company based in Athens, Greece and 11 ships, the guys are all about the same age, they are probably laughing all the way to the bank (non US bank). TYPICALLY: These guys will NEVER return money back to shareholders, they will pay dividends only to attact new FOOLS. They will give it to family members, or each other etc... they will drain the company of all liquidity until the company goes bankrupt. Just like George with Alpha Shipping and will do again with DRYS.George is awesome, because he does not even hide what he is doing! That is how stupid he thinks his investors are.

This sentense explains it:

‘Because Americans are the dumbest investors around, and there’s lots of liquidity in this market.’”

What do you mean Abitare? Foreigners want to give us money not steal it.

I get Nigerians offering me a 25% cut in their inheritance from rich relatives who were in unfortunate plane crashes everyday. :-)

See they are even more ethical than we are!

Note to self: Never fly in a Nigerian airplane or airspace for that metter.

Me, I'm a Doom 3 player--lots of action, and sometimes some interesting personalities show up.

Plus, you don't have to worry about "story" or alliances--kill everyone, or kill everyone not on your team.

(and because I love my wife, I try to keep my playing time limited so I can spend time with here.

I looked at their prospectus and passed on it. I imagine it will probably do well for a long time due to speculation and it will probbaly cost me a lot of money not buying it, but something seemed off to me about it. I'd rather not gamble with a potential timebomb.

if nothing else the name was a little much

"Safebulkers" is kind of like saying  "Clean Restrooms" , restrooms are supposed to be clean you shouldn't have to advertise that! Ther's something wrong with your brand if you have advertise that. Same goes for shipping , it's supposed to be safe. Makes me suspicious. :-)

I used to play Warcraft on America Online via phone modem. They charged you $2.75 an hour. I spent $800+ in two months!

I have avoid video games mostly since I settled down.

that phone bill is hardcore dude. Just think of how many other games you could have bought with that cheese... No wonder AOL is in trouble now,the extortion racket is over.

yeah social lives + games is unusally incompatible. I think you made the smart choice . :-)

Well, only about 10% of my portfolio is based in my home country. The rest are foreign stocks. Hey, imagine you Americans would invest only 10% of your PF in US stocks and the rest abroad... In fact you would have done extremely well...!

Here is the ultimate video game: a flight simulator!

This is really cool. You don't have to kill anybody and it's what the real pilots also use. It is very realistic (and thus addictive...)
