Just saw something in email about the senate voting to audit the fed....

 

Not sure why this hasn't gotten much attention as of yet, but here is the first story I could find on the subject.

 

Still researching to see how teethless this audit is going to be, but nevertheless could be a step in the right direction no?

This is yesterday's news.  The toothless audit passed unanimously, the real audit was shot down.  Bernanke even supported the version that passed.  It may be a step in the right direction, but this doesn't even come close to transparency...of course, on multiple occasions now, Bernanke has basically said "if you knew what we were doing there would be panic, markets would be disrupted, etc...".  Statements like this alone should induce panic...it's clear that most people would rather live in fantasy-land.
