From today's WSJ:

International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn said the world's advanced economies -- the U.S., Western Europe and Japan -- are "already in depression," and that the IMF could slash its global growth forecasts further. The "worst cannot be ruled out," he said.

What the heck took em so long....we have been talking about it for over a year at TMF....  Who would have thunk that CAPs would be a leading economic indicator????

Today I read an interesting article that talked about how a rapid fall in inflation feels like deflation.  I wonder if that is more what we are seeing?
