WOW! Volume Stocks outperforming S&P 6:1… (and still on SALE)…
As some of you already know, back in Sept. of 2009 I posted my Volume Story in which I listed 5 stocks that were having huge gains up to that point, and 5 more stocks that I thought will have huge gains from that point on.
All 10 stocks from that post had one thing in common: A huge volume increase during the time they were going up (2,3,4,10baggers at that time).
And when I say huge increase in volume I mean HUGE: An increase in volume that these stocks have never experienced before in their history.
So why am I writing about this today?
Basically, just to tell you that Volume Stocks are on fire today. All 10 stocks are up today. Up big. The whole portfolio is up 5.5% for the day (as of 12:20 PM). WOW.
LVS, is up 7.6% (What happens in Vegas… hint, hint, hint.)
CENX is up 6.8% (Wow, this stocks has gotten cheaper than its aluminum. A screaming Buy)
TCK is up 6.5% (Copper, Nickel, Gold. You name it, they got it.)
GTN up 6.4% (Media. Need I say more?)
CNO is up 6% (Getting some stock of this insurer might insure your portfolio against the losses)
HWD is up 5.7% (Diamonds are forever.)
GCI is up 5.4% (Media. Need I...)
GNW is up 4.7% (What mortgage crisis?)
FITB is up 4.9% (A small regional bank. Too small too fail.)
BPOP is up 1.4% (Being Popular is still in.)
And just for the record: Since Sept. 27, 2009 (when the Volume Story was first posted), the portfolio of these 10 stocks is up 30.3% (if same amount of money invested in each stock) . GCI is up 67%, HWD 52%, FITB 36%, TCK 32%, LVS 32%, GNW 31%, GTN 26%, CENX 11%, BPOP 7%.
However, I do know 30% is almost nothing compared to the return of 50% that this portfolio had only a few weeks ago (these stocks were hit by correction too), but it’s still so much better than the 5% return that S&P had during the same time frame.
30% versus 5%. 6:1. Got it?
And that would be it for today. I just wanted to give you an update.
Stay Greedy fellow Fools, and Happy Trading Everyone!
p.s Sorry, I actually have one more thing.A few months from now, don’t say nobody told you what to do while these market leaders were on sale.
Disclaimer: If it sounds too easy, it probably ain't true. Do your own DD, and don’t follow the idiots who have nothing better to do than to post stuff like this on the internets.
