No. I'm not drunk. Read it for yourself.
WSJ Opinion Piece.
Wow Queenan....just wow...
I don't hate Leno...I really don't. I prefer Conan's show (always have), but I get that a lot of people prefer Leno's more 'mainstream' approach to humor.
But, I gotta say, Leno is the most passive-aggressive guy you can imagine. He sits on the sidelines and "defers" to NBC...saying things like "NBC said they wanted to announce a handoff to Conan. I wasn't ready, but they said it was important that we do it, so okay. I went along...then they said they want me to move to 10, I didn't want to do it, but they insisted they had the numbers that showed it would succeed, so okay. I went along...they asked me if I'd consider a half-hour show before Conan. I didn't want to do it, but they said it would benefit everyone, so okay. If it's that important to you, NBC, I'll do it"
The guy is both spineless and manipulative in one breath. Be a man, Jay. Just stand up and say, I never wanted to retire from the Tonight Show, and I'm taking it back. I still wouldn't watch you, but at least I'd have a modicum of respect for you.
Reductio ad Hitler is the easiest way to lose all credability.
"Leno is much like Hitler."....that's true, Hitler wasn't funny either.
I've read a lot of stupid stuff over the years, but this is really stupid. How did Queenan get a job at the WSJ?
the Wall Street journal is getting worse everyday since Murdoch took it over.
