Xerox yet again

October 24, 2013 – Comments (3) | RELATED TICKERS: XRX

Earnings came out today and they were basicaly in line with expectations, yet the market crushed the stock.  I took the opportunity to add to my put plays.  The thesis for the stock is still in place.  As per this link of my earlier blogs:

This stock has performed quite well this year so profit taking is understandable.  However it creates a new opportunity to buy it. Sell some January $12 2016 puts and buy the common with the proceeds.

They just got the new red light contract-

Man those things suck. I've only gotten one ticket, but seeing the sign has caused me to slam on the brakes prematurely in hopes of avoiding said ticket.

The way this city works, I would say Xerox will make a fortune on the deal.

Thanks Harry.  A couple things tho. First when is daylight savings time?  I pushed all my clocks back last night and wound up over sleeping ;/

Second, bribery in Chicago? Al Capone must be laughing in his grave heheh.

Third,  I really like the new pedestrian countdown lights they are rolling out in NYC.  Now I have better data in deciding whether to speed up or brake.

Fourth,  I really don't like Matheny's decisions with Kozma.  The guy sucks.  He sucked against the Giants last year and he sucks now.  Bases loaded no outs with Kozma and the pitcher up and you let them hit?  You go for the jugular there.  Who cares if it was the fourth.  This is the World Series.  If it wasn't for Boston always screwing up throwing runners out at third from home this series would be 0-3 for the Cards.

And last, and on point to the post heheh,  I really think they punished Xerox too much off the earnings.  But it then gives one a buying opportunity.  This will be low teens at least by 1/2015 and mid teens or higher come 1/2016, assuming no black or red swans.  I always have to make that provisio because who knows what the nuts in the Middle East or Washington will do.
