Zombulation is necessary for GROWTH!!!!!

In order to grow you must adapt to a different environment......sometimes you must tear down to build up even higher.  Such a process toward progress involves change.....the more radical the progress the more radical the change.

By nature humans do not adapt to change very well.....but in order to survive and thrive, humans must change.

By all objective measures, the number one threat to the human existence is overpopulation.  Animals deal with overpopulation by culling the herd.....humans can apply the same tactics but the result is not very pleasant for those getting culled......otherwise, since man supposedly has intellect, we can reconstruct our existence to support the current population with the current resources available to mankind.

In order to achieve such reconstruction.....massive change will be necessary.  No where will that change be more necessary than the United States and Canada.  Our suburban lifestyles of consuming massive amounts of carbon fuels and packaging simply to live will not be permissible to a growing and developing world population demanding more and more of the world resources.

In the relatively near future...Alstry will begin to focus on this amazing transformation likely to propel mankind into innovations we only dreamed about just a few years ago.  But just like a catapillar must go through radical convulsions to become a butterfly, humans, especially Americans will be forced to do the same in order for the species to survive and thrive.

We are just beginning the deconstruction process, a process Alstrynomics has focused upon.....I look forward in the near future to begin researching and writing about the transformation from the industrial age into the technological age.....a transformation that will be as radical as any man has gone through since his inception on earth!!!!

However, you must live in the present, and we still have a long long way to go with the deconstruction process.  It will be exciting and unnerving for many.  You must prepare to mitigate the discomfort.....you must prepare for change.

bring on the green packaging, and I hope someone makes a new empire out of this and everything else it takes to transit when the time for transition comes.

I also have this long, long held hope, however slim, that the leaders of the US will at some future strategic time when foreign oil isn't cheap anymore tap the vast, vast, vast alternate oil resources here in the US and Canada and leave us in a uniquely advantaged position.  Now THAT would be long-sighted, which is why my hope is slim.  :(

I believe this is alstry trying to be positive, as promised.

I remember a line "why people think change is good? Change is when something you didn't want to happen finally happens". I am afraid we are not going to enjoy it.

The process will be unsettling for many.  Plus our bankers could make it very difficult for most Americans!!!

Tastylunch has a very good blog on China's new protectionist policies:

I had a feeling this was coming.  It was pretty obvious for those of us with a international history background.  Often trade wars are a precursor for much more serious tensions.

Our banks have been flooding China with our dollars.

Our banks have been flooding China with out technology.

Our banks have been flooding China with our jobs.

Our banks have been investing in Chinese Banks .

Our banks have loaned Chinese billions and billions supporting Chinese industries.

American citizens have purchased trillions worth of Chinese goods building up China's industrial base.

American citizens have borrowed so much generating massive profits for the banks that few have the ability to serve the bankers anymore.

American citizens have since bailed out our banks to the tune of trillions.

Now our banks won't loan American citizens any money or forgive the debts after we bailed them out??????

Ask yourself if pushed against the wall, who would our bankers support???.....Americans or Chinese???....how about those that could make them the most money!!!!!!!

Who do you think that is now????

This quote is often attributed to Thomas Jefferson:

"If the American people ever allow private banks
to control the issue of their money,
first by inflation and then by deflation,
the banks and corporations that will
grow up around them (around the banks),
will deprive the people of their property
until their children will wake up homeless
on the continent their fathers conquered."

Prepare...you know in your gut it's coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Maybe it will all culminate on December 12, 2012. That's the date at which the Mayan Long Count calendar comes to an end, and interestingly enough that's also the date where we will be in galactic alignment, where our Sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way galaxy for the first time in 26,000 years.

I believe that the noise over these upcoming events will just get louder and louder, and may even surpass Y2K levels of hysteria, especially if the world continues on in such a troubled state. It's already somewhat of a challenge to find hard science on the galactic alignment- you try and Google it, and like the first 30 pages will be either whacked-out, apocalyptic, end of the world type scenarios, or else they'll be this hippy-dippy, new age-ish type crap that is so sugary it makes me stomach churn to read it.

But the fact that this era is ending according to the Maya is not necessarily indicative of an apocalypse, but rather some kind of great transformation. Whether that be for the good or the bad, it just means things are going to change.  It sounds pretty far out and I'm not even sure that I really believe in it. But I do know that the Mayan calendar is considered to be astonishingly accurate, and it's very interesting that it happens to end on the Winter Solstice, the very day and year of that rare galactic alignment event.
