They are the most consistently innovative company in the world, and always seem to be two steps ahead of everyone else in coming up with good ideas. As MSFT has discovered with the XBox and Zune, it's much better to be a trailblazer than to see someone else come up with a good idea and then copy it after it has already gained a foothold.
