Look, ABH has lost more than 800 millions $ last year. And the situation is going worst.
The company has no money to modernize its factories. All employees are afraid to lost their jobs. And retired workers are assured that AbitibiBowater is near bankrupcy. They are trying to save their pension funds.

Demand for paper produced by ABH has fallen more than 10 per cent. Recession and progression of Internet combined to market losses of newspapers are mostly responsible for such a situation. And important groups of ecologists had stopped negociations with autorities of ABH because the company is cutting trees in the Boreal Forest of Quebec Province, one of the last large virgin woodland territory in the world.
