This sort of panning will get you no gold as miners, which look awful on your screen, will enjoy the rapidly inflating dollar and the recession driving people to precious metals. Meanwhile, companies that look like good growth stories and value stocks will collapse in the brutal economy of the next couple of years.

You very well may be right. I will note I am bullish on other mining stocks and have put my own money in two of those companies, so I am not making a comment on the industry as a whole. I just don't believe this stock can beat the S&P 500.
