Did you know that the greatest majority of our agricultural pesticides and fertilizers are derived from fossil fuels (natural gas)? The price of these will go up as there is less and less of them available.

AGU is tied to corn prices. Ethanol demand and new demand from emerging mkts should suppost solid pricing - note that corn inventories could be at 10 yr low by end of 07. Reasonable valuation.

Its at a all time high for a reason. An upcoming shortage in this sector. TNE is a better choice from a dividend and P/E standpoint, but I already picked this awhile ago and need to add to my holdings in this sector.

ag will be a strong play for 10 years. While I expect fertilizer prices to peak in 2012, agrium also has exposure to the rest of the supply change.
