AIG is currently trading at 1/2 of book value. The government appears close to exiting (with a profit) and once this happens it should be a catalyst to drive the share price higher. The Maiden Lane assets were successfully sold off and AIG executed significant share buybacks. This one has the potential to be one of the great turnaround stories and at 1/2 book the risk/reward is positive. Buy it and hold it.
