Don't let anyone fool you, the big BDC's are very healthly and are thriving in this credit crunch environment. Bought Shares of AINV, ARCC and MCGC this past week in the real life IRA. Their dividends are whats going to get you through the upcoming bear market.

I also have shares in my IRA. ARCC AINV, and bought some BX also. I reinvest AINV's divy and take the cah for ARCC and BX. I'll have to look up MCGC. 3witt

I just got out of MCGC with a loss. It fell too fast for my liking and i'm a little worried about the dividend there.

Not all of them are healthy. CSE is iffy. I like ACAS, because I like their holdings and their unimpeachable track record of quality investments, but I don't know about AINV. I'm trying to find more detail on the company.
