Those who have lost their homes need someplace to live. Many of them will live in AIV's apartments. Lower homeownership rates may push occupancy rates up.

Great company run by a really smart CEO - when the REIT market gets better this will fly.

This is at a 52 week low.The REITs are getting hammered. The strong dividend makes holding this while waiting for real estate to take off again not painful.
