Allstate owns 13% of the casualty policy insurances in California. The massive losses in property will suck them out of some needed money, since they were also involved in buying mortgage backed securities that they were feeling "comfortable with in July. Hey, someone please tell me if they have disclosed major invesment losses. I amsure its been beaten down, but this fire will have them lagging in red numbers for a bit longer.
