As of close of business on 12/04/2007, this was a 5-star Morningstar stock that was trading below half of it's Morningstar fair value.

Morningstar Smorningstar..... The bottom line is Alcatel has no strategy. They continue to tread water as the competition takes away market share. They have some great technical products, but terrible sales. Worse, they have thousands of highly paid paper pushers in France and Germany that do NOTHING but pretend to work. You could get rid of all of their Senior Managers or Directors in those countries and it wouldn't impact the top line one bit. Shorting this stock is a sure thing, provided the French government doesn't step in to print Euros to help prolong the life of this dying cow. SELL, SELL, SELL. Morningstar! Ha!
