ALU Alcatell Lucent is going through a period of adjustment and lower income it is in an area where longer term investors may want to start nibbling with it's move below 11 in the past 3 months. 2007 fiscal year earnings were $0.27 with Fiscal 2008 estimated anywhere from $0.37 to $0.98, average estimate $0.56 .... Buying below 8 with better prospects may turn out to be a good long term buy for patient investors. While there was a low in the $2.30 area made in Sept 2002, which causes some concern, pilot positions could be made with heavier commitments made on any move toward the 2002 lows, which may or may not happen. Sometimes slow accumulation in these cases is the best. Longer term moves to the high end of the 2003 to 2007 trading range of 11 to 17ish are certainly a goal.
